Apica Announces Next-Generation LoadTest Portal for high volume Performance Testing

Apica Announces Next-Generation LoadTest Portal with a new record of 29 GB/s of synthetic load.

  • The new version Apica LoadTest portal is now fully integrated with the ProxySniffer test tool for maximum scripting flexibility
  • Apica LoadTest boasts simplified testing set up and reporting, expanded load testing with on-demand clusters

EuroStar 2013, Gothenburg, Sweden – Nov. 5, 2013 – Apica, a leading test provider for web, cloud and mobile applications, today announced its new-generation Apica LoadTest portal, which is expected to be generally available in November 2013. Apica LoadTest, now complete with the powerful local Apica ProxySniffer Test Tool integration, will allow testers to develop scripts locally and run high volume on demand using Apica LoadTest.

Testers can easily pinpoint load capacity limits, eliminate web performance bottlenecks and get a true understanding of how a site will perform. Every day major retailers, iconic technology brands and government websites experience dramatic failures, often widely reported by the media. When these websites crash, their businesses are at least partially closed. What is the potential cost of poor performance of my application? Is there a bottleneck that could hamper performance or worse, cause the site to crash? What is the load limit? Are applications fine-tuned for maximum performance?

Apica uses diligently defined and controlled environments for its load tests, consisting of the highest quality test centers with normalized load servers and closely supervised environments and servers. Apica has more than 50 different test centers across the US and Europe and can generate total load tests of more than 2 million concurrent users and a just set a new record of 29 Gb/sec of synthetic load.

The key new features of the upcoming major release of the Apica LoadTest portal include:

  • Full integration with local ProxySniffer test tool
  • Script integration with the popular Selenium testing freeware technology
  • Simplified load testing set up and reporting
  • Private and on-demand load testing clusters for real geographic testing
  • High test volume cluster option
  • Client Side monitoring with real browser during the test from any one of the 150+ worldwide locations

“The explosion of web and mobile usage has created a lot of problems with regards to load capacity, application performance and overall reliability for many web sites. Tuning and scaling systems to be ready for extreme traffic spikes is critical for any successful web based business. Our new version of Apica LoadTest simplifies continuous load testing and effective bottleneck analysis to provide the foundation for faster and more stable web sites” said Sven Hammar, CEO of Apica

Apica will exhibit at EuroStar Conference 2013 at booth #24 and be a part of the Test Lab. Test Lab will be an exciting opportunity for EuroStar participants to try out Apicas suite of performance tools. Apica is providing Eurostar Test Lab participants online access to the new release of Apica LoadTest SelfService Portal and Apica ProxySniffer, an advanced load test tool to conduct load tests scaling to millions of users.
