Service Integration Options
Overview
Apica WebPerformance provides integration support for leading APM, Cloud and Analytics solutions including AppDynamics, Microsoft Azure, Amazon CloudWatch, Google Analytics, Nagios and others. Integration provides correlation for faster troubleshooting, and consolidated dashboard views and results reporting for improved dev-ops management decision-making.
APM
AppDynamics
Apica provides full API integration with AppDynamics application performance management software to gather and correlate external response time values with internal performance data. AppDynamics software organizes Web application activity using “business transactions” as the primary unit of monitoring and troubleshooting, providing far better insight than traditional server-centric application management tools.
Apica provides both Cloud and inside agent options. For more on inside agent solutions, see Apica Inside Agent. (link to page)

Cloud
Azure
For Microsoft Azure users, Apica WebPerformance provides centralized visibility into three previously separate Azure monitoring features:
- Azure Server “vital signs”
- Application function and response times
- Dynamic scaling of new instances based on load.
Apica WebPerformance verifies Azure-based application performance by combining Azure performance data with Apica WebPerformance network monitoring data from public agents throughout the world.
“The momentum we now see in the use of the Windows Azure platform also creates a great need for easy load testing and monitoring of the applications as a service, instead of having to invest a lot of time in development or setting up infrastructure. Apica’s solution is exactly what the market currently demands”
- André Henriksson, Partner Evangelist Manager, Cloud Solutions, Microsoft.
Amazon CloudWatch Integration
For AWS users, Apica WebPerformance supports the open CloudWatch API to fetch server values directly from AWS without using external agents. Benefits include long-term AWS performance data retention versus the AWS two-week standard limit, data access with no local agent installation, and no additional request charges since API requests used by the Amazon EC2 service to store metrics are free of charge. Setup is easy using only the credentials required to access CloudWatch server values.
