Apica announces the launch of a new free web based service for testing and analyzing web sites, www.MyWebCheck.com. This service will show e.g. response times and performance details, page sizes, erroneous links etc for your own sites. It is also possible to compare your web site with your competitors’ web sites.

MyWebCheck.com is a service provided by Swedish IT company Apica, a supplier of Internet based services that carries out Sweden’s most extensive performance and load tests of various web applications. These types of services have so far been reserved for larger corporations with big IT budgets and big IT departments.

The new free service is a stripped down version of Apica’s services Apica WebPerformance©, that has been adapted for smaller sites and companies. Despite being a simpler version, Apica’s free service competes well with many of its competitors’ pay products.

With MyWebCheck.com any organisation can instantly and completely free of charge check the response time of their web site (the homepage and the sub pages), check the fastest and slowest pages, see the web site’s response time compared with specific competitors or the industry index, and page details such as the sizes of the pages and what type of external links they refer to. Apica WebPerformance™ carries out continuous automated tests and presents the results as intuitive graphs in which it is easy to spot trends and return to previous results.
