Performance Monitoring an important part of the Swedish Army’s new web strategy

Published: 2010-02-10

The Swedish Army is working hard to reach new young audiences online. As their web presence has become a critical part of their communications strategy, they have chosen to work with Apica WebPerformance™ to monitor the response times of their web sites.

The Swedish Army is one of the most forward-thinking governmental organizations in Sweden when it comes to using modern web marketing tactics to reach and appeal to young audiences online. An acknowledgement of their ambition and hard work is the fact that they made it into this year’s list of Sweden's 100 best sites, published by Internet World.

- "The Swedish Army is a good example of authorities going from - 'The Web as a nice showcase', to: - 'The Web as the main channel for interaction and transaction with customers and stakeholders'. Such an approach raises new and different demands on accessibility and Web Performance. Therefore it’s quite natural that they want and need to work on the monitoring of their response times. They chose to work with us, which we of course see as a proof of our commitment to be the top choice of Sweden's most performance-demanding web sites", concludes Sven Hammar, CEO Apica
