Apica is majority owned by its founders/key staff.

To fund the expansion of Apica, the company in 2007 brought in an external investor; the venture capital fund KTH Chalmers Capital.KTH Chalmers Capital is a venture capital fund investing in high tech companies in early stages. The fund manages SEK 260m and invests in new technology companies, often originating from KTH - the Stockholm based Royal Institute of Technology - and Chalmers Institute of Technology, based in Gothenburg. KTH Chalmers Capital currently has 10 portfolio companies. Investors are SEB Företagsinvest, Industrifonden and the Wallenberg family’s W Capital Management. Owners of the management are the three partners, Jakob Svärdström, Jonas Rahmn and Joachim Karlsson, but also KTH, Chalmers and Innovationsbron have an ownership interest in the management company.
